Who doesn't love thier Motorcycle racing? I do. I've been around it for so long now. (See below for links to things like my exclusive MotoGP / WSKB rider interviews. OK I won't make you do that... check out the interviews here) and of course there's something special about heading out to a British event. If it's Donington, Silverstone, or Brands Hatch. (click for my travel guides).Anyway, oh, yeah. Hotels & Lodgings close by Donington..... If you can't find Castle Donington Hotels near Donington Park Circuit via this link. You're not looking hard enough. I've got a list of over 500 accommodations choices in a 60 mile / 100km radius of the track. You can search with an interactive map. And even see satellite images of the track. On the expanded map, click "Hybrid". Many of these are of course nearby Nottingham Hotels. So, there, all tastes, budgets, and options are covered.
There's something almost otherworldly about heading up to the Circuit at Donnington. Like it's up on a plateau in which is a natural valley where there's some amazing viewing of the action. Don't forget to check out the Grand Prix Museum while you're there too. You might not like cage racing right now, but one day you might, and there's an absolute wealth of history there for you to check out. I almost wept last time I was there to see all of Ayrton's cars lined in a row!
I'm based in the US so a trip in that direction is always a BIG deal for me, and I've made it a couple of dozen times with relish. I travel with a happy heart to these things because there's something special about a British Racing Crowd. They KNOW their racing history (and aren't afraid to tell you about it) . Something special about British motorcycles too. Love my Bonnie - and can hardly wait to see a Triumph on the MotoGP grid, with James Toseland at the controls? One day maybe. What about it, Hinckley?
Going to another MotoGP or Motorsport event?
